How do you pass a part on Wimpy Wonderland Poptropica?

I'm at the part with jumping on roulys dad's car and it's pissing me off so bad I'm just going to lose it >:o, When his dad comes out hes coming out too fast like it gives you 2 or 3 seconds to hide and it's annoying, and wont let me move because of a swirly thing, can anyone help??? I can never get in cuz that stupid blue turning thing...
