Whenever I make red velvet cake from scratch, the color always comes out red/brown marbled! Help!?

I follow the recipe precisely when it says to make a paste out of the cocoa and red dye. I have tried mixing it for a super long time, I've also tried putting the dye with the buttermilk and the cocoa with the flour.... every time comes out the same, though... swirly colors. Any suggestions?

Why does my amp keep blowing fuses?

I have a planeet audio anarchy 1000 watt amp. ik its not amazing im upset i bought it. but its running 2 kenwoods ( typhoons i believe. they have a kinda swirly design and an M in the center) and i have them running at 4 ohms n my amp supposably kicks out 700 watts at 4 ohms. so why does the 20 amp fuse keep popping? i have changed it prolly 4 times in the last 2 days

How can I stop my moms abuser?

I am 17 and I live in a different province from my mom because of her abuser. He has abused her for the past 2 years to the point of almost killing her. She has slept in ditches to avoid being near him but won't leave him. I want to be with my mom but because of this guy who has been in and out of jail for these 2 years for domestic abuse her whole life suffers. He brings her into a lot of drugs and booze and has some really bad addiction issues because of him. I have tried calling the cops but it just makes everything worse and now because my mom bailed him out of jail with her house as callatoral if he does get arrested she will lose the house and that would hurt her even more then he does now and she would despise me. She has contemplated suicide before. I just really want to know what to do because this is really killing me inside...

Yes they deserve to get a ticket. Why should they get a break from all the punishments that a DUI has to offer just because that person got hurt? Him being hurt doesn't mean he didn't make an incredibly stupid decision for it and still should pay money. What kind of justice system would say "It's ok as long as you get hurt"?
